Marisol is one of our incredible weekly teachers, workshop and Breathwork facilitators! What a gift to watch this women expand and grow over the last few years. She holds beautiful space for inner exploration and play! We asked her some questions so you can catch her vibe!

1- What are you currently offering at Be Free?

I offer Yinyasa Fridays at 4 which is a blend of my two favorite styles of practice and a great way to transition out of the week and into weekend mode. Once a month I also offer somatic ecstatic dance on Friday nights (the two classes back to back feel sooo juicy!!) which consists of a movement workshop before a 90 minute dance journey. Recently I took over the Tuesday evening 5:30 vinyasa, which has been so exciting! I’ve really missed teaching a full vinyasa practice and am very grateful to now be holding down the Tuesday slot. The other space I hold at Be Free are the women’s naked yoga ceremonies. These are profoundly magickal cauldrons of feminine energy, and it is my deepest honor to facilitate these containers.

2- Tell us about your yoga journey so far and what aspect has made the biggest impact on your life…

I committed to my yoga practice in 2020 at the beginning of lockdown, total covid yogi here! YouTube yoga channels Breathe + Flow and Yoga with Adrienne were hugely impactful for me. They taught me to find prescience within myself and truly prioritize my own well being for the first time in my life. In autumn 2021 I spent some time in the mountains intending to find clarity on my next steps in life, and received guidance to go for my 200 hour yoga teacher training… not something I was even considering!! I leaned in and decided to travel to Rishikesh, India in September 2022 for a deep immersion in the roots of yoga and obtain my 200 hour certification. I had been so steeped in my home practice, and developed a strong self practice, but realized before leaving that I should check out some local studios if I was wanting to teach upon returning. The moment I walked through the doors at the Be Free Healing Center, I knew I wouldn’t need to go anywhere else. Be Free was the community I was craving and didn’t even know it. The whole month of my studies in India, my heart felt so connected to Be Free and I felt the deep roots of truth in the space. Upon coming back and fully immersing myself into the energy of Be Free and the magick of its spirit and community, my life changed forever. The opportunity to gather with others in the breadth of yogic teachings, ceremony, and moving in community has allowed my heart to bloom open in ways I never thought possible.

3- You also have dived deep into astrology! Tell us about that passion …

Yes! I have been intrigued by the ancient study of the stars for the last decade, diving a lot deeper into the embodiment of the astrological archetypes over the last 3 years. I believe astrology can offer us so much understanding about how to understand our inner machinations and co create with the Divine in such beautiful ways.

With the encouragement from one of my sweet sisters, I started offering 1:1 astrology readings in January. This has been such an expansive space to connect people with the wisdom in their astrological guidebook and empower them to live with greater alignment and awareness. I’m evolving this offering to weave more with the other tools in my sacred tool box. I’ll be opening long form 6 or 12 month containers to support people through astrology, yoga, breathwork, energy work, sound, and plant medicine.

4-What’s currently lighting up your world?

Lately, it seems everyone around me is deep in the throes of transformation. I am feeling so inspired by collective energy of being willing to dive into the portal of death and rebirth in order to come out with greater clarity and love. I’m finding myself feeling very curious and excited about the possibilities for myself, my community, and humanity as a whole. A big light in my life at the moment is also my union with my wonderful partner Evan David. It’s been such a blessing to grow alongside him and start sowing the seeds for our future together. We’re moving in together in a couple weeks, and it’s been exciting to put my energy into designing a home with him! A big passion of mine is creating sacred space, and getting a fresh slate through our home together has been really lighting me up.

5- Anything else you want to share?

Just gratitude for all the beautiful souls who have been on my path and shaped me into the woman I am. It is an honor to serve this community, and pour back in all the love and wisdom that has graced my life.
