Have You Met Amisha Klowann?

ree

Amisha is one of our incredible Wellness Practitioners who offers a unique form of physical therapy.  She is excellent in helping folks get out of chronic pain!   We asked her a few questions so you can catch her vibe::

What are you currently offering at Be Free?

I’m currently offering integrative  physical therapy, which incorporates visceral mobilization, orthopedic therapy and nervous system regulation from a holistic lens. I also offer somatic yoga therapy. My background is in orthopedic physical therapy and manual physical therapy, and we utilize these within our sessions, however, I have found in my over 20 years of experience that often times the missing link is the nervous system.

What makes your methods of physical therapy unique?

Oneness physical therapy offers a very unique perspective based on a holistic view. Clients often come to see me after they’ve seen several other providers and have plateaued in their care. We look at the body and lifestyle through a holistic lens and see what could be shifted to make a change. Visceral  mobilization significantly affects the nervous system, and it’s a very gentle way of starting to regulate a dysregulated system.

What are you finding most inspiring in your life right now?

I’m currently super inspired by my husky who has come through such tough circumstances  in her puppyhood , to be such a gentle and loving soul—she reminds me that all of us can start to let go of past hurts and focus on a brighter present and future. You might get to meet her if you come see me in the office.

What teacher has made the biggest impact on your life?

There’s been so many teachers that have impacted me significantly- currently it is Dr Arielle Schwartz. I’ve been studying with her for the past three years with yoga therapy and vagal nerve toning. This work has absolutely changed my own life and significantly changed my practice. Bagel toning work is something that anyone can start at any time and make a tremendous difference in how you feel day-to-day.

Whats something people might not know about you?

I just started playing the ukulele! I think it’s always fun to be trying something new and different to help rewire your brain. :)  if anyone is offering lessons, I would love to meet with you!

Any specials or up-coming events you want to share?

I have an online vagal toning workshop coming up in November which will lead to an In person workshop. I am so excited to bring this work to Fort Collins. Please be sure to follow on Instagram for the links coming out in the next couple weeks and to register.
