Namaste, dear seekers,
Abhi is also a seeker like you on the sacred path of yoga. Born and raised in India, he has always carried a boundless curiosity about the mysteries of life, which he continues to nurture alongside his two beautiful children. At a tender age, he discovered his calling and left home as a seeker, embarking on a journey to uncover life’s deepest truths through the ancient teachings of yoga.
This path led him to Varanasi, the eternal city that holds the spiritual heartbeat of Hinduism. In this holy city, with over 3,000 years of history flowing alongside the sacred Ganges, he immersed himself in the teachings of revered gurus. Their wisdom, drawn from various traditions, became the foundation of his spiritual journey.
In time, his devotion transformed into service. He assisted in establishing three different ashrams in India—sanctuaries that have since become havens for seekers diving deeper into the path of yoga.
Before moving to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, Abhi spent several years teaching yoga philosophy, asanas, and pranayama in the Himalayan foothills. He also holds a degree in Art Education from Colorado State University and is deeply passionate about integrating yoga and art to create brave spaces for younger generations within the public school system. In his free time, he spends time with the wildflowers learning from them, writing poetry, and making art.
Tired of witnessing how yoga has turned itself upside down in the West, Abhi seeks to offer authentic teachings to sincere seekers, staying true to the traditional ways in which he was taught. He currently teaches about the Heart Chakra, the History of Yoga, and Yoga Philosophy (derived from various Yogic texts) as part of the teacher training at Be Free.

Sahana Vavatu Mantra:
May the Divine protect us as we learn together.
May we be nourished together.
May we work together with great energy and enthusiasm.
May our learning be luminous.
May there be no ego as we learn together.
Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
This mantra, known as Sahana Vavatu, is a powerful invocation for unity, peace, and cooperation among seekers. It originates from the Krishna Yajurveda, specifically the Taittiriya Upanishad (Chapter 2, Verse 2).
सहनाववतु।सहनौ भुनक्तु।सहवीर्यं करवावहै।तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै॥ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥
